The American-Lithuania Business Council participated in a roundtable discussion with the leaders of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Europe, Chairman Ron Johnson and Ranking Member Jeanne Shaheen. ALBC companies briefed the Senators on the importance of Lithuania to the U.S.’s strategic interests in Eastern Europe.

Six American companies travelled to Vilnius on October 28 & 29 to meet with high level political leaders to discuss the business climate in Lithuania. The mission, ALBC’s second, met with Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius, Minister of Economy Evaldas Gustas, and Finance Minister Rimantas Šadžius. U.S. Ambassador Deborah McCarthy met with and hosted a reception in honor of the delegation.
