Kurt Tong, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs, met with ALBC and two other bilateral business councils to learn about American business priorities in Central Europe. Companies briefed Mr. Tong on the importance of their investments in Lithuania and the impact of regional geopolitical developments.
ALBC President Eric Stewart advocated for company expansion back into Lithuania to a group of young Lithuanian-American professionals in New York. The “Connect for Lithuania” event was organized by Global Lithuanian Leaders, Enterprise Lithuania, and New York Lithuanian Professionals Group. The CEO of ALBC Board Member Strategic Staffing Solutions, Cynthia Pasky, presented on investing through the Lithuanian diaspora network.
The American-Lithuania Business Council participated in a roundtable discussion with the leaders of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Europe, Chairman Ron Johnson and Ranking Member Jeanne Shaheen. ALBC companies briefed the Senators on the importance of Lithuania to the U.S.’s strategic interests in Eastern Europe.
